Since the detection of Zika virus in Brazil in 2015 to date, 33 countries and territories have confirmed autochthonous vector-borne transmission of Zika virus in the Region of the Americas. No new countries or territories have confirmed vector-borne transmission in the preceding two weeks. Desde la detección del virus del Zika en Brasil en 2015 hasta la fecha, 33 países/territorios de las Américas confirmaron casos autóctonos (transmisión vectorial) de infección por virus del Zika. No hay nuevos países o territorios que hayan confirmado la transmisión vectorial en las dos semanas anteriores.
