To date, 39 countries and territories have confirmed local, vector-borne transmission of Zika virus disease in the Region of the Americas since 2015. Since the last Pan American Health Organization/ World Health Organization (PAHO/WHO) Zika Epidemiological Update on 2 June 2016, no additional countries or territories confirmed vector-borne autochthonous transmission of Zika virus. Desde 2015 y hasta la fecha, 39 países/territorios de las Américas confirmaron casos autóctonos (transmisión vectorial) de enfermedad por virus del Zika. Desde la última Actualización Epidemiológica de la OPS/OMS publicada el 2 de junio de 2016, ningún nuevo país/territorio ha confirmado transmisión autóctona.
