This publication is one on a series of technical papers on a multicountry study about the needs of the elderly. It shows the results of an 80-item questionnaire developed by the Pan American Health Organization (PAHO), and administered to elderly persons in households in Argentina, between 1985 and 1986. The data include information on demographic characteristics, health status, physical functioning, informal care, financial situation, social relationships, and self-expressed problems and needs
