Abstract
[Introduction] The report provides a summary of the actions undertaken for Foot-and-Mouth Disease (FMD) eradication and prevention in South America and Panama, including an assessment of the compliance of the countries and the Pan American Center for Foot-and-Mouth Disease and Veterinary Public Health of the Pan American Health Organization/World Health Organization (PANAFTOSA/PAHO/WHO) with the resolutions of the 50th COSALFA, held on April 25 – 26, 2024. Besides, it provides information on general technical cooperation activities, the outcome of agreements and projects, and interinstitutional and collaboration efforts with other cooperation agencies carried out by PANAFTOSA/PAHO to support the countries.
