The goal of palliative care in pediatric cancer patients is to improve the well-being of the patient and their family throughout the illness, as well as reduce physical, emotional and spiritual suffering. Within the framework of the Global Initiative against Childhood Cancer, PAHO offers a series of modules on pediatric palliative care for mothers, fathers and caregivers. Each one contains essential information to be able to provide the best care and satisfy the needs derived from the disease that affect both the patient and their loved ones. The minor may spend days or weeks in the hospital, a situation that generates physical, psychological, social or spiritual needs. This module addresses the quality of life in hospitalized minors with cancer and strategies to improve quality of life in the hospital. Quality of Life for Children with Cancer: A series of modules on pediatric palliative care. Quality of Life for Children with Cancer Who Are Hospitalized; Module 3.
