The goal of palliative care in pediatric cancer patients is to improve the well-being of the patient and their family throughout the illness, as well as reduce physical, emotional and spiritual suffering. Within the framework of the Global Initiative against Childhood Cancer, PAHO offers a series of modules on pediatric palliative care for mothers, fathers and caregivers. Each one contains essential information to be able to provide the best care and satisfy the needs derived from the disease that affect both the patient and their loved ones. This module addresses general questions related to what pediatric palliative care is and how to deal with it, who is responsible for providing it, who it is aimed at, how it will help the people involved, and whether it is only appropriate at the end of the child's life.en_US
