In this third edition of the abridged version of the Guidelines for the prophylaxis and management of patients with NON-SEVERE COVID-19 in Latin America and the Caribbean, the evidence-based recommendations for the prophylaxis of people at risk of infection by the virus are updated. SARS-COV-2, identification of markers and risk factors for mortality in patients with non-severe COVID-19, screening for COVID-19, home management, use of diagnostic images to guide management, pharmacological treatment, use of supplements, prophylactic anticoagulation, and follow-up and medical discharge criteria. The recommendations are addressed to all health personnel who care for patients in emergency and primary care services, as well as decision-makers and members of government entities related to the management of patients with COVID-19 in the Region of the Americas.
