With a global estimate of 55 million people living with this medical condition, this neurological disorder is ranked as one of the top ten causes of death worldwide and is the 3rd leading cause of death in the Americas. The document is a summary of the technical meeting on Dementia held on the 18th of November 2021, focusing on the “Public Health Aspects of Dementia in the Americas.” The virtual meeting, simulcasted in English, Spanish and Portuguese, hosted 167 decision-makers from regional and national associations, foundations, academics, and Pan American Health Organization Member State representatives.en_US
