Abstract
[EXTRACT]. As we celebrate the 120th anniversary of the PAHO and the 100th anniversary of the Pan American Journal of Public Health this year, we must reflect on our accomplishments in tobacco con- trol and encourage all of our Member States to move decisively towards full implementation of best practices in tobacco control the opportunity for us to all do better, underpinned by a trans- formative vision for health equity. This special supplement on tobacco control highlights the joint accomplishments of the Pan American Sanitary Bureau and the Member States and reminds us that there is still a long way to go to ensure full implementation of the WHO FCTC in the Americas.
