This fact sheet provides the latest evidence on screening and brief intervention for alcohol problems, as well as on treatment for alcohol use disorders. These descriptions concern alcohol treatment services under health systems of care as well as other pharmacological and behavioral treatment modalities. In addition, key messages about screening and brief intervention and alcohol treatment are summarized.
