dc.description.abstractAs the World Health Organization (WHO) is developing a new Global Health Sector Strategy on Sexually Transmitted Infections, and in the current context of increasing syphilis cases in many countries of the Americas, the Pan American Health Organization (PAHO) organized a meeting to review the syphilis situation in the Region of the Americas, share lessons learned in the syphilis response, and discuss public health measures toward syphilis elimination in the Region. The meeting took place virtually with 637 participants from 38 countries of the Region on 16–17 November 2021.en_US
