Abstract
Las bebidas alcohólicas se consumen a menudo para socializar y algunos las consumen para hacer frente a estados emocionales difíciles. Conforme se fue informando más habitualmente acerca de tasas de ansiedad, temor, depresión, aburrimiento e incertidumbre durante la pandemia de COVID-19, también se informó sobre un aumento concomitante del consumo de alcohol, a pesar del cierre de los establecimientos autorizados. Sin embargo, la repercusión de la pandemia sobre el consumo de alcohol y sus perjuicios conexos sigue sin conocerse.
