Resumen
This document updates PAHO's interim recommendations for case management of COVID-19 in health services. Objective of the document: The list of priority medical devices in the context of COVID-19 provides technical descriptions and specifications for the management of patients with suspected and/or confirmed COVID-19 infection at different levels of healthcare in the following stages of care: Triage and initial care. Sampling for diagnosis. Early supportive therapy and monitoring of severe acute respiratory infections (SARI) when COVID-19 infection is suspected. Treatment of acute hypoxemic respiratory failure (AHRF), acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS) and septic shock. Please note that the list included in this document should be adapted to the context of each country in the Region, according to the needs and capacities of each health system.
