In the Region of the Americas, between epidemiological week (EW) 1 and EW 8 of 2020, a total of 560.086 cases of dengue, including 118 deaths. Of the total cases, 137,900 (25%) were laboratory-confirmed and 1,560 (0.3%) were classified as severe dengue. The case-fatality rate was 0.023%. En la Región de las Américas, entre la SE 1 y la SE 8 de 2020, se reportaron 560.086 casos de dengue, incluidas 118 defunciones. Del total de casos notificados, 137.900 (25%) fueron confirmados por laboratorio y 1.560 (0,3%) fueron clasificados como dengue grave. La tasa de letalidad fue de 0,023%.
