| es_ES |
dc.description.abstract | [Presentation]. The integration of the policies and programs on comprehensive care for violence against women (VAW) and HIV is an urgently necessary strategy for halting both epidemics and advancing toward gender equality. Development Connections, with the support of the United Nations Development Fund for Women (UNIFEM), is implementing an initiative focused on strengthening capacities to reach this goal through: a) the creation of a community of practices regarding this subject, and b) the design of a manual that incorporates the scientific evidence available, best practices and tools for the integration of policies and programs on both issues. In this context, authors from different disciplines produced the articles included in this publication, which analyze some conceptual and specific aspects of the linkages between HIV and VAW in various population groups and contexts. | en_US |
