Jungle Yellow Fever in the Americas Up to Epidemiological Week (EW) 29, a total of 10cases of Jungle Yellow Fever (JYF), with 50 deaths. West Nile Virus (WNV) Situation in the USA As of 17 July 2003, there are 5 human confirmed cases of West Nile Virus infection in the USA. Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS) PAHO/WHO would like to acknowledge the efforts of the Ministries of Health for regularly providing the Organization with SARS surveillance reports and for their invaluable assistance in verifying and following up rumors throughout the SARS epidemic. Virus del Nilo Occidental (VNO) Situación en Los Estados Unidos Al 17 de Julio de 2003, los Centros para el Control y Prevención de Enfermedades, han confirmado 5 casos humanos de infección por Virus del Nilo Occidental. Síndrome Respiratorio Agudo Severo (SARS) La OPS/OMS reconoce que el esfuerzo realizado de los Ministerios de Salud para proporcionar regularmente a la organización los datos de la vigilancia del SARS han sido extremadamente útiles para la verificación de los rumores e investigaciones realizadas durante la epidemia del SARS.
