From Epidemiological Weeks (EWs) 4 to 11, an increase in the number of cases of acute diarrhea has been detected in the municipality of São Bento do Una, state of Pernambuco, Brazil, similar to the peak that occurred during the first trimester of last year. Entre las Semanas Epidemiológica (SE) 4 a la 11 de 2004, se identificó en el estado de Pernambuco, municipio de São Bento do Una, un aumento de los casos de síndrome diarreico agudo similar al pico ocurrido en el primer trimestre de 2003.
