This PAHO/WHO statement provides results of the investigation of serious adverse events that occurred in October 2007 in Peru following administration of the yellow fever vaccine (substrain 17DD) manufactured by Bio-Manguinhos, Brazil. It contains the conclusions of the expert group as well as their recommendations. Esta comunicación de la OPS/OMS proporciona los resultados de la investigación de eventos adversos graves que ocurrieron en Perú en octubre de 2007, posteriores a la administración de la vacuna antiamarílica (sub-cepa 17DD) elaborada por Bio-Manguinhos, Brasil. Brinda la conclusión del Grupo de Expertos así como sus recomendaciones.
