From the time when the first cholera cases were confirmed in Haiti, to Epidemiological Week (EW) 44, a total of 8,138 hospital admissions and 544 deaths have been recorded. Artibonite, Central, Ouest, Nord Ouest and Nord, remain the only departments where cases have been recorded. The department of Artibonite registers the highest case incidence rate with 49 cases for every 10,000 inhabitants, followed by Nord with 11 cases for every 10,000 inhabitants, and Central with 10 cases for every 10,000 inhabitants. Some conglomerates of suspected cases in Port-au-Prince and its surroundings are currently under investigation. Desde la confirmación laboratorial de los primeros casos de cólera en Haití, hasta la Semana Epidemiológica (SE) 44 se han registrado un total de 8.138 admisiones hospitalarias y 544 defunciones por cólera. Los departamentos que registran casos siguen siendo Artibonite, Central, Ouest, Nord Ouest y Nord. El departamento de Artibonite registra la tasa de incidencia más alta con 49 casos por 10.000 habitantes, seguido de Nord con 11 casos por 10.000 habitantes y Central con 10 casos por 10.000 habitantes. Están bajo investigación algunos conglomerados de casos sospechosos en la ciudad de Port au Prince y sus alrededores.
