Abstract
In Haiti, from the beginning of the epidemic to 22 July 2012, the total cases of cholera reached 581,952, of which 314,922 (54%) were hospitalized and 7,455 died. The global case-fatality rate is 1.3% and the hospitalized case-fatality rate is 1.5%. At the national level, after an increase of cases reported from EW 15 of 2012, a decrease of cases were recorded since the EW 23.
 
En Haití desde el inicio de la epidemia al 22 de julio de 2012, se han registrado 581.952 casos, de los cuales 314.922 (54%) fueron hospitalizados y 7.455 fallecieron. La tasa de letalidad global acumulada es de 1.3% y la tasa de letalidad hospitalaria es de 1.5%. A partir de la semana epidemiológica (SE) 23 el número de casos registrados a nivel nacional muestra una tendencia a la disminución después de un incremento registrado a partir de la SE 15 de 2012
