Abstract
The Chinese health authorities have notified WHO of additional laboratory-confirmed cases of human infection with influenza A(H7N9) virus. As of 10 April, the total number of confirmed cases is 28, including nine deaths, 14 severe cases and five mild cases. The age range is 4 to 87 (median = 62). Nine cases are female and 19 are male. Cases are from Anhui (2), Zhejiang (5), Shanghai (13) and Jiangsu (8) provinces of China, all located in the east of China. The onset of symptoms occurred from 19 February to 3 April 2013. Las autoridades de salud de China han continuado notificando a la OMS casos adicionales. Hasta el 10 de abril del 2013, se han confirmado un total de 28 casos de infección humana por el virus de influenza aviar A(H7N9), incluyendo nueve fallecidos, catorce casos presentaron sintomatología grave y cinco sintomatología leve. Los casos tienen un rango de edad entre los 4 y los 87 años (mediana de 62 años). Nueve casos son mujeres y diecinueve son hombres. Los casos provienen de las provincias de Anhui (2), Zhejiang (5), Shanghai (13), y Jiangsu (8), todas ellas situadas al este de China. La fecha de inicio de síntomas de los casos se registró entre el 19 de febrero y el 3 de abril del 2013.
