Abstract
As of April 17th of 2013, the health authorities of China have notified the WHO of 82 confirmed cases of human infection caused by avian influenza A(H7N9) virus, including 17 deaths. The cases are from the provinces of Anhui (3), Henan (2), Jiangsu (20), Zhejiang (25), and the municipalities of Beijing (1) and Shanghai (31). Further information is available for 63 of the cases and their age range is 4 to 87 (median = 64); with 19 female cases and 45 male cases. The onset of their symptoms occurred from 19 February to 11 April 2013. Updated information is available on the WHO Disease Outbreak News (DON).
 
Hasta el 17 de abril del 2013, las autoridades de salud de China han notificado a la OMS un total de 82 casos confirmados de infección humana causado por el virus de influenza aviar A(H7N9), incluyendo 17 fallecidos. Los casos provienen de las provincias de Anhui (3), Henan (2), Jiangsu (20), Zhejiang (25), y las municipalidades de Beijing (1) y Shanghai (31). En 63 casos en los que la información está disponible, el rango de edad es entre los 4 y los 87 años (mediana de 64 años). Dieciocho casos son mujeres y 45 son hombres. La fecha de inicio de síntomas de los casos se registró entre el 19 de febrero y el 11 de abril. Los datos actualizados sobre la situación se publican en el Sitio de Brotes Epidémicos de la OMS.
