Between EW 1 and EW 6 of 2014, there have been 46 suspected cholera cases and no deaths, registered at the national level, with a decreasing trend. This is considerably less than the number of new case registered in the same period of 2013 (646 cases and 8 deaths). En las seis primeras semanas del 2014, se registraron 2.536 casos de cólera y 18 defunciones (tasa de letalidad acumulada para el 2014 de 0,7%). Registrándose un promedio semanal de 422 casos y 3 defunciones, cifra considerablemente menor a la registrada en el 2013 (con un promedio semanal de 1.140 casos y 9 defunciones).
