Abstract
In the Americas, human rabies transmitted by dogs is in the process of being eliminated. Since the launch of the regional program for the elimination of rabies transmitted by dogs in 1983, there has been a 95% reduction in the number of human cases in the Americas to date.
 
En las Américas, la rabia humana transmitida por perros se encuentra en vías de eliminación. Desde la puesta en marcha del programa regional de eliminación de la rabia de origen canino en 1983, el número de casos humanos en la Región se ha reducido en un 95% al día de hoy.
