Between EW 1 and EW 41 of 2014, there were 209 suspected cholera cases, including five deaths, signifying a monthly average of 23 cases. This is less than the number of new cases registered in the same period of 2013 (monthly average of 130 cases and a total of 13 deaths), in 2012 (monthly average of 557 cases and a total of 21 deaths), and in 2011 (monthly average of 240 cases and 35 deaths in total). Thus far in 2014, the decreasing trend in new cases continues to be recorded nationwide. Entre la SE 1 y la SE 41 del 2014, se registraron 209 casos sospechosos de cólera incluidas cinco defunciones, lo que significa un promedio mensual de 23 casos. Esta es una cifra mucho menor a la registrada en el mismo período en el 2013 (con un promedio mensual de 130 casos y un total de 13 defunciones), 2012 (promedio mensual de 557 casos y un total de 21 defunciones) y en el 2011 (promedio mensual de 240 casos y un total de 35 defunciones). En lo que va del año 2014, a nivel nacional, continúa la tendencia decreciente de nuevos casos registrados.
