Abstract
In the Region of the Americas, over the past decade, cases of yellow fever were reported in Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Colombia, Ecuador, Paraguay, Peru, and Venezuela. In 2015, three countries in the Americas confirmed yellow fever virus circulation (Bolivia, Brazil, and Peru) and in 2016 only one country, Peru, confirmed cases of yellow fever. Brazil is currently investigating the occurrence of epizootics in areas where the virus had circulated.
 
Durante la última década en la Región de las Américas se confirmaron casos humanos de fiebre amarilla en Argentina, Bolivia, Brasil, Colombia, Ecuador, Paraguay, Perú y Venezuela. En 2015, tres países confirmaron la circulación del virus (Bolivia, Brasil y Perú) y en 2016 solamente Perú ha confirmado casos de fiebre amarilla selvática. Brasil, se encuentra investigando la ocurrencia de epizootias en zonas de circulación histórica del virus.
