To date, 42 countries and territories have confirmed local, vector-borne transmission of Zika virus disease in the Region of the Americas since 2015: Anguilla; Antigua and Barbuda; Argentina; Aruba; Barbados; Belize; Bolivia (Plurinational State of); Bonaire, Sint Eustatius, and Saba; Brazil; Colombia; Costa Rica; Cuba; Curaçao; Dominica; the Dominican Republic; Ecuador; El Salvador; French Guiana; Grenada; Guadeloupe; Guatemala; Guyana; Haiti; Honduras; Jamaica; Martinique; Mexico; Nicaragua; Panama; Paraguay; Peru; Puerto Rico; Saint Barthélemy; Saint Lucia; Saint Martin; Saint Vincent and the Grenadines; Sint Maarten; Suriname; Trinidad and Tobago; Turks and Caicos Islands; the United States Virgin Islands; and Venezuela (Bolivarian Republic of). In addition, five countries in the Americas have reported sexually transmitted Zika cases (Argentina, Canada, Chile, Peru, and the United States of America). Since the last Pan American Health Organization/ World Health Organization (PAHO/WHO) Zika Epidemiological Update on 14 July 2016, Antigua and Barbuda and the Turks and Caicos Islands confirmed vector-borne autochthonous transmission of Zika virus. Desde 2015 y hasta la fecha, 42 países/territorios de las Américas confirmaron casos autóctonos por transmisión vectorial del virus del Zika: Anguila; Antigua y Barbuda; Argentina; Aruba; Barbados; Belice; Bolivia (Estado Plurinacional de); Bonaire, San Eustaquio, y Saba; Brasil; Colombia; Costa Rica; Cuba; Curazao; Dominica; Ecuador; El Salvador; Granada; Guadalupe; Guatemala; Guayana Francesa; Guyana; Haití; Honduras; Jamaica; Martinica; México; Nicaragua; Panamá; Paraguay; Perú; Puerto Rico; República Dominicana; San Bartolomé; San Martin; San Vicente y las Granadinas; Santa Lucía; Sint Maarten; Suriname; Trinidad y Tabago; Islas Turcas y Caicos; Islas Vírgenes de los Estados Unidos; Venezuela (República Bolivariana de). Además, 5 países de las Américas notificaron casos de Zika transmitidos sexualmente (Argentina, Canadá, Chile, Estados Unidos de América y Perú). Desde la última Actualización Epidemiológica de la OPS/OMS publicada el 14 de julio de 2016, Antigua y Barbuda y las Islas Turcas y Caicos han confirmado transmisión autóctona esta semana.
