Between epidemiological week (EW) 1 and EW 34 of 2016, a total of 27,839 cholera cases were reported in three countries of the Americas: the Dominican Republic (1,039), Ecuador (1), and Haiti (26,799). Haiti alone accounts for 96% of all cholera cases reported in the Region of the Americas up to EW 33 of 2016. Desde la semana epidemiológica (SE) 1 del 2016 a la (SE) 34 de 2016, se notificaron 27.839 casos de cólera en tres países en las Américas: Ecuador (1), Haití (26.799) y la República Dominicana (1.039). El 96 % del total de casos notificados hasta la SE 33 de 2016 en la Región de las Américas corresponde a Haiti.
