In 2016, Brazil, Colombia, and Peru reported confirmed cases of yellow fever. Brazil confirmed six human yellow fever cases in 20161 and the number of epizootics, especially in the state of São Paulo, increased considerably during 2016 in comparison to previous years. From the beginning of 2016 until 12 December 2016 the state of São Paulo reported 163 epizootics in non-human primates (NHP) with a total of 227 affected animals. To date, a total of 16 epizootics (corresponding to 24 NHPs) were confirmed and 35 were discarded. The remaining epizootics are under investigation. Durante el 2016, Brasil, Colombia y Perú notificaron casos confirmados de fiebre amarilla. Brasil confirmó seis casos de fiebre amarilla durante 20161 y el número de epizootias, especialmente en el estado de São Paulo, durante 2016 aumentó considerablemente en comparación a los años anteriores. En efecto, desde el inicio del año y hasta el 12 de diciembre de 2016 en el estado de São Paulo se notificaron 163 epizootias en primates no humanos (PNH) con un total de 227 animales afectados. Hasta la fecha de elaboración de este informe un total de 16 epizootias (correspondientes a 24 PNH) fueron confirmadas y otras 35 fueron descartadas. Las restantes continúan bajo investigación.
