Abstract
Between January 2017 and November 2018, six countries and territories of the Region of the Americas reported confirmed cases of yellow fever: Bolivia, Brazil, Colombia, Ecuador, French Guiana, and Peru. The number of human cases and epizootics reported in the Region of the Americas during this period is the highest in decades. Since the 20 March 2018 Epidemiological Update on Yellow Fever published by the Pan American Health Organization / World Health Organization (PAHO/WHO)1, Bolivia, Brazil, Colombia, French Guiana, and Peru reported new yellow fever cases; the following is a summary of the epidemiological situation in these countries and territories.
 
Entre enero de 2017 y noviembre de 2018, seis países y territorios de la región de las Américas notificaron casos confirmados de fiebre amarilla: Bolivia, Brasil, Colombia, Ecuador, Guayana Francesa y Perú. Durante este periodo se notificó el mayor número de casos humanos y epizootias registradas en la Región de las Américas en varias décadas. Desde la última Actualización Epidemiológica de Fiebre Amarilla publicada por la Organización Panamericana de la Salud / Organización Mundial de la Salud (OPS/OMS) el 20 de marzo de 20181, Bolivia, Brasil, Colombia, Guayana Francesa y Perú han notificado casos nuevos de fiebre amarilla. A continuación, se presenta un resumen de la situación en estos países y territorios.
