Health sector analysis of Peru : Summary and recommendations
Abstract
The Health Sector Analysis of Peru (HSA-Peru) is a comprehensive study of health care resources and their allocation in relation to the distribution and health status of the Peruvian population. The study, sponsored by USAID/Peru, provides the basis for a policy dialogue on the major obstacles to be overcome before adequate health care reaches all Peruvians. The State Univeristy of New York at Stony Brook organized and administered the project over a two-year period from February 1, 1985, to january 31, 1987. This introduction to the Project summary defines the study's objectives and provides an overview of the distribution of health care resources in Peru in relation to health services coverage This report has been prepared with the financial support of U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID)
