Global strategy for the prevention and control of AIDS : Report by the Director-General
Abstract
This report provides a global review of the epidemiological situation and desribes the development of the WHO Global Programme on AIDS and the activities it is undertaking at all levels - country, regional and global - to complement the global strategy. It also refers to the issue of avoidance of discrimination in relation to HIV-infected people and people with AIDS as specifically requested in May 1988 by resolution WHA41.24 World Health Assembly, 42.
