Health in the city
Abstract
The health of the most disadvantaged and poorest groups in big cities continues to deteriorate and the situation is fast becoming tragic, particularly since estimates show that by the year 2000 more peoples will live in cities than in rural areas. In this video, we see a series of images depicting life in cities with moving titles which give stark statistics concerning the health situation. The film has no spoken commentary; the images are accompanied by a song "This City Never Sleeps" by the Eurythmics. The film is intended for use as a curtain-raiser for discussion or debate
