Abstract
THE SEMINAR'S GENERAL PURPOSE IS THE EFFECTIVE ESTABLISHMENT AND DISSEMI NATION, DOWN TO THE OPERATIONAL LEVEL, OF AN INTERNATIONALLY ACCEPTABLE ATTITUDE REGARDING THE RESPONSABILITY AND THE ROLE OF THE EDUCATIONAL COMPONENT IN THE EFFECTIVE DELIVERY OF HEALTH CARE. THE SPECIFIC OBJEC TIVES OF THE SEMINAR MAY BE SUMMED UP AS FOLLOWS: TO FOCUS THE ATTENTION OF THE LEADERS IN EDUCATION AND HEALTH SERVICES, AND OF THE GENERAL PU BLIC, ON THE RESPONSABILITY AND THE ROLE OF PERSONNEL TRAINING IN MEET ING THE COMMUNITY'S HEALTH NEEDS; TO CONSIDER METHODS OF DEVELOPING THE HUMAN RESOURCES REQUIRED TO CONSTITUTE AN EFFECTIVE HEALTH TEAM; TO E VALUATE TO WHAT EXTENT EDUCATION IS CARRYING OUT ITS RESPONSABILITY AS PART OF HEALTH CARE; TO CONSIDER THE PATTERNS OF ACTION AND INTERRELA TIONSHIPS THROUGH WHICH MEDICAL TRAINING AND EDUCATION IN OTHER HEALTH SCIENCES FULFILL THEIR RESPONSABILITY FOR TRAINING PERSONNEL IN THOSE FIELDS. TO IDENTIFY THE PROBLEMS AND OBJECTIONSPREVENTING EFFECTIVE ACTION AND THE MEANS OF WITH THEM
