Improving feeding practices in young children: development, testing and implementation of state-of-art approach

Abstract
The key objetive is to develop, test and implement a simple but effective guide for improving the dietary practices of young children (2yrs) living in poor areas of Latin America. The project will be coordinated by the Pan American Health Organization and will involve two phases. The first phase (2 years) will involve the use of state-of-art research methodologies to develop the guide and the intervention approach whereas the second phase (3 years) will be the implementation testing of this intervention package at a national level in four Latin American countries. Phase I will be the responsability of a research team led by Dr. Martorell from Emory University while Plase II will be the responsability of the Pan American Health Organization
