Abstract
The objective of this document is to guide the Pan American Health Organization's work for advocating its Strategic and Programatic Orientations for 1995-1998 through an intensified, purposeful relationship with political leaders and institutions at regional, sub-regional and national levels. Political advocacy aims at building consensus among policy makers, strengthening their commitment to, and fostering participation in the health and human development agenda, and establishing the bases for more effective ccoperation in response to expressed needs
