Abstract
[Introducción]. En las Américas, las leishmaniasis siguen siendo un problema de salud pública debido a su magnitud y complejidad clínica, biológica y epidemiológica. Afectan predominantemente a los más pobres, especialmente en los países en desarrollo, hecho que requiere un esfuerzo colectivo y un compromiso compartido entre los gobiernos, las organizaciones, las instituciones y la sociedad para su control... Este Informe ha sido elaborado a partir del Sistema de Información Regional de Leishmaniasis - SisLeish/OPS/OMS y actualiza la información de las leishmaniasis en las Américas para el año 2015.
