The main objective of the present document is to provide the basis and guide in the implementation of a qualitative formative investigation regarding blood donation, with the purpose of obtaining basic information that can be used in the development of a social communication strategy with the ultimate intention of recruiting, educating and retaining voluntary non-remunerated blood donors. The detailed steps in these guidelines include some for planning the investigation (Chapter 1), for implementing it (Chapter 2), for organizing and analyzing the data (Chapter 3) and for writing the final report (Chapter 4).
