Abstract
El presente informe constituye parte del estudio regional sobre Migración de Enfermeras de América Latina que se inició en 2006 a partir de una reunión regional sobre el tema, realizada a fines de 2004 en Lima y que ya cuenta con dos publicaciones. El estudio cuyos resultados incluimos aquí se refiere a la migración de enfermeras de América Central y el Caribe de habla hispana. Se trata de un estudio multicéntrico en el que participaron referentes nacionales de todos los países de América Latina y que fue coordinado por el Proyecto de Recursos Humanos para la Salud del Área de Sistemas de Salud basados en la Atención Primaria de Salud de la OPS/OMS, con la central contribución de la Facultad de Enfermería de la Universidad Andrés Bello, de Chile.
