In this paper the author examines the use of the triaxial record, which concurrently records the physical, psychological and social problems, in primary care centers for determination of the types and levels of physical and psychosocial morbidity, and argues that this record could be put to better use if it were conceptually and operationally restructured so as to facilitate the detection of the two superate quantities--the typology and magnitude of morbidities. This new format would permit better quantitication of the cases and profiles of concurrent morbidities and facilitate preventive action at the primary care levelen_US
