Abstract
This Center was organized to furnish basic training to those working on the control of venereal diseases, especially for the Ministry of Health and Welfare, of Mexico though it is open to workers from other governmental departments as well as private physicians. The dispensary, laboratory and training phases of the work are emphasized. Finding new cases, diagnosis, treatment, prevention and education of the people are placed on the dispensary section. All microscopic, serological and bacteriological work belong under the laboratory. Training is of a practical nature, both objective and individual. All cases are carefully and throughly discussed and problems regarding them are settled in the Training section. Every six months the Center organizes a meeting where physicians interchange ideas on diagnosis, laboratory procedure, treatment, prevention, educational and other social problems. The personnel includes, besides the director, 7 other physicians; 4 practicantes; 2 dentists; 11 nurses; 2 bacteriologists; 2 social workers; 2 laboratory workers; and 2 assistants(AU)
