Abstract
The purpose of this survey was to gather general information on the program of supplementary feeding of pregnant women registered at a clinic of the National Health Service. The information collected covers two points; consumption of the powdered milk and the consumers' opinion about it

Half the pregnant women in the group under study considered the amount of milk provided to them to be insufficient. A small proportion (2 out of each 10), stated that the staff of the clinic had taught them how to prepare the powdered milk

The data further revealed that most of the pregnant women were in favor of powdered milk; those who were against it, did not stop taking it. In general they recognized the nutritional value of powdered milk, and most showed no cultural resistance to taking it or any prejudice about its ...(AU)
