dc.description.abstract	The purpose of this article is to try to obtain a clearer picture of the role the international organizations should play in the study and solution of problems of food and nutrition in Latin America. One of its recommendations is the establishment of a Latin American Center for information on nutrition, an idea taken up recently at the Special Meeting of Ministers of Health of the Americas.	en_US
