This booklet provided information, in a readily usable form, on the treatment of children with acute respiratory infections. It is intented primarily for non-specialist doctors in small health centres or in district hospitals covering a population of 50.000-200.000 people. The booklet lists the symptoms for the different respiratory illnesses, and provides guidance on the most appropriate supportive therapy and the need for the rational use of antimicrobial drugs
